Kleen Breeze was founded in New York in 2008 by owner Kevin O'Connor after years working in the heating and cooling industry.

That experience gave Kevin a close-up look at something homeowners often don't think much about: what happens to the air as it moves through a home.

He saw an opportunity to specialize in indoor environmental services - helping homeowners identify problems affecting their indoor environment and offering practical solutions for correcting them.

Integrity From the Beginning

Kevin built Kleen Breeze around a straightforward principle: be honest with people.

If there is a problem, explain it. If there isn't, say so. And if another solution makes more sense than something Kleen Breeze provides, point the homeowner in the right direction.

That approach helped the young company earn strong ratings and reviews and build its business largely through trust and referrals.

A New Home for Kleen Breeze

In 2017, Kevin and his wife Chryse relocated to the Wilmington area and brought Kleen Breeze with them.

Since then, the company has become part of the Cape Fear community, serving homeowners throughout New Hanover and Brunswick Counties with mold testing and remediation, duct cleaning, air purification and ventilation solutions, and dryer vent cleaning.

Experience That Helps Connect the Dots

Indoor environmental problems don't always fit neatly into one category.

A musty odor could involve moisture. Excess dust could involve ductwork. Mold can sometimes be connected to water intrusion, crawl-space conditions or HVAC components.

Kevin's HVAC background and years of indoor air-quality experience help Kleen Breeze look beyond the symptom and understand how the different parts of a home work together.
